Farm Workdays

Farm Workdays are an opportunity to help in the maintenance and improvement of the Farm.  Families are invited to come for whatever amount of time fits their schedule during the workday.

The tasks to be done are varied and typically fit a wide range of interests and skills.  Every workday includes some gardening and fix-it items.  There are seasonal gardening activities such as soil prep, planting, or harvesting.  Larger projects are often scheduled on workdays as well, such as fencing, gates, irrigation, and other carpentry and construction activities.

Activities are also planned for the kids, so everyone can find something that engages their interest.  In addition to getting the farm projects and maintenance completed, the workdays offer a great chance to spend a day outdoors with your family and meet other Ohlone families while improving a wonderful learning resource for our children.

We ask that every family at Ohlone attend at least one Farm Workday during the school year.  There is also the opportunity for a class to sign up and attend a workday together.

We look forward to seeing you out on the Farm.
