Farm Coordinator

The Farm Coordinator is the operations manager for the farm, reporting to the school principal, and has the responsibility and authority to oversee activities on the farm.  The Farm Coordinator supports teachers and students from all grade levels as they conduct learning activities on the Farm, coordinating the activities of individual classrooms so that they do not conflict with each other or the goals as set forth by the Farm Vision Team. The Farm Coordinator also coordinates most Farm maintenance activities in conjunction with the Farm Council.  The Farm Coordinator has final discretion over the coordination of classroom activities on the farm, and has authority to direct the activities of volunteers and visitors on the farm. 

Specific roles and responsibilities include:

 ·        Keep the farm grounds safe and clean for children and animals

·        Establish a schedule for classrooms to visit and work on the farm

·        Oversee care for the farm animals and provide weekly cleaning of animal stalls

·        Oversee garden organization and maintenance
