Laurie Hall, the new EL Specialist at Ohlone,
has worked in the Redwood City School District for the last 14 years. She has taught various grades from K - 5th grade in Sunnyvale, Palo Alto and Redwood City School Districts.
She has been an EL Coach in RCSD for the last 5 years and has specialized in Coaching teachers and modelling lessons in ELD.
She has her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and her Administrative Credential. She speaks Spanish. She will be working with teachers in classrooms, modelling lessons and supporting the English Learners in small group instruction in classrooms, in a 'push-in' model, as opposed to a 'pull-out' model that has been the norm in the past in PAUSD.

for Reclassifying to Fluent English Proficient this year! It is hard work learning 2 languages and becoming fluent in them. These students have worked hard and acquired English in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing like a Native English speaker. Well done!
