'Just Books' Fair -- Tues-Fri, 4/6-4/9

'A book worth reading is a book worth buying.' --John Ruskin

This spring, Ohlone will be offering a book fair with just that: books! Gone are the 'bought and quickly forgotten' toys, pens, erasers, pencils, notepads...you get the idea. Items sold will reflect quality; along this line, please know that few items will be under $5. We will have a variety of selections, including books focused on:
  • Penguins (including Mr. Popper's Penguins) to complement the K/1's penguin unit;
  • Colonial America
  • Drawing, including Ed Emberly
  • Klutz
  • Chinese fables and books about Chinese culture
  • Young adult & adult
The book fair will be held the week prior to Spring Break; a perfect time to find books for trips! If you would like to volunteer to help, please contact Diana Lee or Joyce Alba (joyce.alba@gmail.com)

PTA Reflections Art Show -- Tues-Fri 4/6-4/9
April 6 - 9 in the MP room; same times as the Book Fair.

Add some culture and fine art to your week when you view the PTA Reflections Art Show at the Spring Book Fair!

While you browse for the latest literature, please enjoy our gallery of art, photography, poetry and music all created by Ohlone creative artists!

Core Values Committee -- Tues, 4/6
Join the Core Values Committee to discuss Ohlone's Core Values. All Ohlone parents are welcome.

Farmers Market Plant Sale -- Thurs, 4/8
Bring a little bit of the Ohlone Farm home to your garden. Purchase plants from the Ohlone Farm at this week's Farmers Market - Thursday after school. The plants that will be available include daffodils, peas, various herbs (mint, sage, bee balm (used for making tea)), yarrow, spider plants, succulents, and more! Quantities vary, so arrive early for the best selection. Spend your Spring Break sprucing up your garden!

May Fête Children’s Parade -- 5/1
Save the date.  Sat. May 1, 10am, downtown Palo Alto.

Palo Alto Recreation invites you to the 88th Annual May Fête Children’s Parade. This year’s theme, “Free to be…Me!” is all about honoring all the ways that our children and youth express themselves in a joyful and positive manner along life’s journey. The morning will be filled with spirited entertainment from local high and junior high school marching bands, floats, and thousands of children marching, skating, and cycling through downtown.

Following the parade, join Partners in Education and celebrate our schools with food, music, and games at the 8th Annual PiE Fair at Addison School until 1pm.
