Ohlone Celebrates Earth Day on 4/22, Joins the "Drive Less Challenge"

Show your care for the planet---and our local piece of it---by walking, biking, riding the bus, or carpooling to school on Thursday April 22. The traffic committee will greet your arrival at school with a table of pastries by the flag pole and an eagerness to hear what you experienced on your alternative commute. Did you notice more about your neighborhood being outside your car? Did you encounter more friends, wildlife, other notables?

This year PAUSD is joining local communities in the "Drive Less Challenge" from April 22 through May 6. The Drive Less Challenge is a social competition to reduce the amount of driving – the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions and the only source of traffic congestion --- in the Bay Area . It is a project of community green teams in Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Burlingame.
