One of the most popular operas ever written, this swashbuckling classic tells the tale of the pirate apprentice Frederic, who has a few surprises in store as he turns 21! Featuring tender-hearted pirates, bumbling policemen, an eccentric Major General and beautiful young maidens who wouldn't dream of marrying anybody who isn't rich, all contributing to one of the most uproarious operettas in the history of musical theatre... It's Gilbert at his witty best, with some of Sullivan's most memorable music.
