Site Council

The Role of the Site Council

Every school that receives money from the State of California School-Based Coordinated Program is required to have an active Site Council. Our Ohlone Site Council includes faculty, staff, and parents. The parent members are elected from the school community. PTA representatives are also often present at meetings to give updates on ongoing activities.

The Site Council is responsible for overseeing implementation of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and making sure that the state funds are allocated appropriately and directly used in service for the children.  (View Ohlone's 2009-2012 SPSA.)

Past projects of the Ohlone Site Council include the All School Climate survey, the e-mail policy, Mandarin Immersion policies, and extended hours for the Kinders.

Our meetings are open to the community, and we encourage you to join us.  We usually meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in the Staff Lounge.
